Another dazzling entry in barbra's early career, this album doesnt take two or three spins to hook you--you fall in love with it immediately. There's no real "belting" here, just meltingly lovely standards including a stunning "just in time", a beautifully eerie "draw me a circle", and definitive versions of "as time goes by" and "it had to be you". A perfect party accompaniment and great car music also.
